G3G has been back to school to pass SAP’s extensive accreditation programme for S/4HANA Cloud Sell, but why?
IDC recently published a document positioning SAP S/4HANA Cloud as a leader in a Worldwide SaaS and Cloud Enabled Mid-Market ERP Applications Assessment. This is important as not only has the functionality that is now available in the latest 1805 cloud version been recognised but more importantly the future innovations identified within the product life-cycle.
Imagine a future conversation with the CFO comparing competitors IT landscapes, support resources and total cost of ownership of an on-premise solution versus the SAP S/4HANA Cloud. Don’t forget to add-in the quarterly innovations that you can choose to take advantage of.
How would your on-premise solution stack up and how do you start?
The concept of intelligent ERP, integrated with other cloud products and providing not data but information is already with us. In a modular process of introducing functionality, SAP has enabled a simple transition methodology to enable both existing SAP customers and new SAP customers to plan a route from where they are to a future digital platform. The business case and subsequent return on investment is dependent on two main elements; the amount of functionality that can be fulfilled by the latest release and the level of extensibility required.
SAP claim that 2018 will be the year of the ‘intelligent ERP’, and the IDC document supports the reputation of SAP being a leader in this space.
