Driver’s licence, licence to practice medicine, to fly planes, or carry a gun… When lives are on the line, we take licencing very seriously. What about when it comes to software? Using a licenced software ensures that your business is using the package legally, and you have access to the full functionality as prescribed by the licence definition. Purchasing the right number and type of licence allows your employees to work effectively, thus using licenced software is highly important and so is being aware of it.

This is why whenever a user logs in to SAP Business One, the licence information is automatically displayed at the right bottom corner for two minutes (unless you click on the logo then it will disappear immediately):

Licence Information

You know it is there, but what if you don’t want to see it every time you log on? You can now change the settings in the ‘Users – Setup’ window. The new checkbox functionality enables you to adjust your preferences:

License Information

The checkbox ‘Show License Information at Startup’ is selected by default and will therefore show you the licence details at every login. If you deselect the checkbox, the licence information will not appear the next time you log on to SAP Business One. You can always view this by clicking on the logo or changing your settings back to default at any time.

Available in SAP Business One 10.0, and SAP Business One 10.0 version for SAP HANA. Please get in touch if you would like to upgrade to version 10.0.
