We are looking for a BI/BW Consultant with BPC knowledge, to work as part of an experienced, growing team responsible for the day-to-day delivery of SAP support, enhancements and implementation projects to our customers. You will also perform transition activities when required.

As part of the G3G team you will gather and analyse the business needs of our clients, participating in the configuration, implementation and maintenance of the SAP modules to align with the business. You will participates in problem identification and assist in developing solutions resulting from best practice. You will have an advanced knowledge of the design, development and implementation of SAP business intelligence solutions and will also help build our own IP to enhance our S/4HANA suite.

Possibly handling multiple pieces of work simultaneously, including patching, upgrades and new installations, you will be able to organise your time effectively on a daily and weekly basis, reporting and requesting assistance as required. Working as a team member or team leader, you will be skilled in working to strict SLAs to deliver services in a timely manner, providing expertise for trouble-shooting and performance issues and communicating effectively with customers and colleagues.

You may be required to work independently on client site and provide end-user training for product modules. The ideal candidate will be someone who wants to develop their understanding of the latest trends in SAP technology and has the drive to remain current in terms of development skills whilst maintaining the day-to-day operational support activities.

Essential technical skills and experience

  • Significant SAP BI/BW installation, configuration and support experience (ideally minimum of four years or demonstrable in-depth knowledge)
  • Ability to design and build customer Universes and Reports using SAP BusinessObjects toolsets
  • Experience in leading the preparation of test scenarios, end-user documentation, and user manuals

Desired knowledge and experience

  • In-depth knowledge of Business Warehouse including 7.x versions and ideally a good working knowledge of the BusinessObjects toolset in version 4.x
  • Knowledge of visualisation, interactive reporting, formatted reporting, data acquisition, data modelling and office integration solutions provided be SAP BusinessObjects
  • Data Modelling design
  • Functional ECC knowledge from an extractor perspective
  • Experience of ETL from SAP and Non-SAP data sources
  • SAP BW Data Modelling, SAP BW Query Designer, SAP BW Web Application Designer and SAP BW Bex.
  • ABAP (to an adequate BW level)
  • Creation of technical estimates
  • BODS (Data Services) or SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) experience. Other ETL tools experience may be considered
  • Experience of Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, and Design Studio
  • SAP BusinessObjects solution knowledge with ability to contribute to delivering end-to-end solutions to meet complex business requirements
  • Experience with RDBS such as Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase and DB2
  • Experience with Lumira is desirable
