Any document generated by your business is a reflection of the DNA of your business. However, most companies develop various documents that record different stages of the business cycle – order, delivery, payment, etc.

To keep consistency, all of this documentation should have the same look and feel but, that doesn’t mean you have to design the layout for each document from scratch. Once you have the design for one document type, SAP Business One enables you to duplicate it to other document types by using the “Duplicate Layout Template”:

No alt text provided for this image

From the “Source Document Type,” drop-down menu choose the relevant document (Sales Quotation, Sales Order, etc.). The available layout templates are then listed in the table below. Choose the relevant layout. Choose the destination document type and specify the destination template name. The mapping of the properties from the source and destination templates are listed on the right side. To create the new layout, just choose the “Add” button and it’s done.

If needed, you can adjust the duplicated template from within the Report and Layout Manager.

Available in SAP Business One 9.3, version for SAP HANA and SAP Business One 9.3.
