A paperless environment has become the norm. We have come to appreciate the greater efficiency it brings about and are happy with the positive implications on the environment in the bigger scheme of things. Even when you do not print hard copies, photocopy documents, or fill endless shelves with ring binders and folders, you still need to manage files of various formats. As opposed to hard copy documents, assigning unique file names is crucial.

To align with the naming convention used in your business, allow more flexibility, and reduce potential errors, SAP business One introduces the following setting with regards to attachment handling:

When selected, you can upload an attachment file with the same name as an existing file without overwriting the existing file. SAP Business One generates a unique name for the new file by automatically adding a timestamp to the file name:
